Pam Galas
Pam and her husband Bill are natives of Pittsburgh, PA and became year-round residents of Naples in 2000. While living in Pittsburgh Pam was very active in the community with organizations such as Junior Achievement and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Since moving to Naples Pam has once again immersed herself into the non-profit world by volunteering for organizations such as NCH North, NAMI and the Naples Children & Education Foundation. While Pam volunteers her time for many organizations her true passion involves helping children in need. When not volunteering, Pam enjoys special time with her husband and loves traveling, cooking, baking, reading, gardening and attending wine tastings.
Pam is returning for her sixth year volunteering with the Naples Winter Wine Festival where she enjoys a wide variety of responsibilities. Pam’s activities throughout the year vary from answering the phones at the NCEF office, helping to assemble the printed materials such as the invitations and catalogs, folding napkins, and working with arts and crafts including sewing cocktail napkins. During the festival week Pam assists with wine service, set up and registration of patrons. However, Pam’s favorite day to volunteer is in April when all of the checks are awarded to the charities. “Watching the excitement on the faces of charitable organizations’ representatives as they receive their checks makes all of our efforts worthwhile.” Pam is pleased to be a member of the Naples Winter Wine Festival pre-festival and auction day ‘volunteer family’ that are so committed to contributing to such a wonderful goal - helping the children of Collier County.
