Twilight dinner for ten (10) guests at the home of Delia Viader in Napa Valley, with the menu to be prepared by the winery’s executive chef, Mariela Viader, and paired with Viader wines
“Party favors” to take home from the dinner

Twelve hundred feet above the Napa Valley floor sits the unique vineyard belonging to Delia Viader. One of the steepest hillside vineyards in California, it has a thirty-two degree slope. Emulating a European design uncommon in California, she planted the vines at approximately four times the typical density and arranged them in vertical trellises instead of horizontal, a planting method that optimizes sun exposure, vine density and erosion control.

The maverick style of Viader does not end in its vineyard. Viader was one of the first proponents of the elegance and bouquet that a high percentage of Cabernet Franc can add to Cabernet Sauvignon - a daring diversion from the other Cabernet-based wines being made in Napa Valley. Viader believes Cabernet Franc brings a brighter, more elegant expression of the Napa Terroir than Merlot and the signature blend of Viader’s flagship red wine includes approximately one-third of Cabernet Franc. A new world Cheval Blanc, Viader’s red wine is a trend setter and one of the most exciting wines of the vintage.

Always one of the most elegant Napa Valley Cabernet based wines, its small production frequently makes it a “must-have” for collectors worldwide. Consistently exceptional, Viader garners “outstanding” reviews from Wine Spectator seemingly year after year. A chance to enjoy this tradition of untraditional excellence is here, in the form of twelve Magnums; three each from 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Each vintage combines Viader’s signature aromatics with a tight core of currant and spice in a sleek, rich, concentrated style.

Punctuating this extraordinary collection is the opportunity for ten guests to have a private dinner at the home of Delia Viader. The dinner will be paired with vines from Viader, and prepared by the winery’s executive chef; Mariela Viader. Following this affair to remember, each guest will receive “party favors” to take (or have shipped) home.

Dare to be different – Viader did, and the fruits of her labors can be yours.
