This just in – you’re going to the centers of breaking world news: Washington, DC and New York City.  In terms of global politics and finance, the importance of these two cities is unrivaled.  And pointed at these corridors of power are the cameras of every major broadcast network.  You’ll feel the same energy and excitement of broadcast journalists who cover the biggest breaking stories from the moment you arrive in our nation’s capital.  Among the several surprises in store for you - tour the fabled West Wing of the White House with VIP access.  In 1902, under the direction of President Theodore Roosevelt, the presidential offices were moved from the main house to the one-story extension that became known as the West Wing, center of activity at the White House.  In addition to the Oval Office, the West Wing contains the offices of the president’s staff, the Cabinet Room, the Roosevelt Room and the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

That night, you may dine with a high-powered and influential political figure to discuss topical events and the current world climate.  What you don’t learn about over candlelight and fine wine, you’ll discover the next day when you’re in the studio for a live taping of Meet the Press. One of the NBC network’s most watched news programs, Meet the Press recently achieved a programming milestone as the longest running television show in the world when it aired its 3,000th broadcast on Sunday, October 14.  You’ll also get to meet the host, Tim Russert, an award-winning broadcaster and author who serves as Senior Vice President and NBC News Washington Bureau Chief. After the taping, you’ll brunch with another high-powered journalist, Bill Kristol, and attend a taping of Fox News Sunday.  Wrap up your capital city tour with a dinner at the amazing Citronelle restaurant, home to Michel Richard, the James Beard Outstanding Chef of 2007 and one of the featured chefs at the 2008 Naples Winter Wine Festival.

Like a key political figure off to an interview, you’ll fly that night to New York to attend a live taping and behind-the-scenes tour of NBC’s Today Show the next morning.  While in the Big Apple, you’ll stay at The Ritz Carlton.  Monday afternoon, you’ll attend live tapings of Campbell Brown’s new show on CNN, Hannity & Colmes on Fox and The O’Reilly Factor.  That evening, you’ll have a private dinner with Campbell Brown and her husband Dan Senor, the Bush Administration’s original Chief Spokesperson in Baghdad, and a Senior Advisor to Ambassador Bremer.  Visit 2008 Festival chef, Christopher Lee, when you dine at Gilt, his award-winning, New American restaurant in midtown.

Live like a mover, a shaker and a world-news-maker on this deluxe press junket to DC and New York!
