1 – 9 Liter 2005 Grace Family Vineyards “Blank Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon (etched & painted with NWWF charities’ logos)

Dick Grace believes in “wine as a catalyst towards healing our planet.” While he understands the importance of what goes into the bottle, he also knows that it is merely a fraction of the power for change that the bottle possesses. The Naples Winter Wine Festival’s first honored vintner has been instrumental in the Festival’s ability to raise over fifty-five million dollars for children’s charities throughout the Naples community.

“It is a privilege to use our wines as a catalyst for improving the lives of underserved children,” Dick Grace has said. So when you pick up these bottles of Grace Family Cabernet Sauvignon, don’t see just a wine but instead see the faces of the children that the Festival has helped throughout the years.

To that end, Grace Family Vineyards has etched and hand painted twin, nine-liter Salamanazars from the 2005 vintage of Grace Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - one from its estate vineyard and one from the vineyard of friends Alan and Chotsie Blank - with the logos of the charities that the Naples Winter Wine Festival has supported. It has done so to remind each of us to continue our support for children in need. From the Boys and Girls Club, to the YMCA, to the Child Advocacy Council and the Foster Care Council of Southwest Florida, the symbols of over two dozen of these institutions are engraved and hand painted on each bottle.

Some wineries evaporate more wine in a week than the Grace family produces in a year. A typical vintage produces only 11 barrels. The lucky few on the mailing list are allocated one bottle per vintage, while the thousands on the waiting list must only bide their time. None are allocated the scarce large format Grace Family bottles; the Magnums, Double Magnums, Jeroboams and Imperials. These rarest of rarities are produced solely for donation at charity auctions.

Inside each of these massive bottles will be a cork, branded with the directive “Be Optimystic.” The reason - the belief that with the right combination of positive thinking and a little bit of faith, we can make a world of difference in the lives of children.
