Private Dinner with Ann Colgin & Joe Wender

Ann Colgin is no stranger to our wine auction, having been an auctioneer since its inception. Besides being a force to be reckoned with when the gavel is in her hand, Ann also produces four of the most staggering Cabernets in Napa Valley and also one of its top-rated Syrahs. Of course everybody wants Colgin’s wines, for good reason - as each of these wines attained “classic” status in the 2004 vintage, with the Tychson Hill Vineyard, Cariad and both IX bottlings flirting with perfection.

This phenomenal, never before released horizontal from Colgin Cellars includes one Magnum and three 750 ml bottles of every wine produced by Colgin in the highly acclaimed 2004 vintage. This 24 bottle collection includes the Herb Lamb Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Cariad Red Wine, IX Estate Red Wine, IX Estate Syrah and the extremely limited production Jubilation Merlot - made only from select lots and not in every vintage. As a result of its miniscule production - only 89 cases in 2004 - Jubilation is not publicly released nor sold to Colgin’s mailing list.

The symbolism of this 24 bottle collection? Why, one bottle for each episode of Fox’s hit series 24 that you will watch this season. Why will you be watching so intently? Well, if watching Jack Bauer save the nation from imminent doom is not reward enough, you will also be watching your very own screen debut, as the winner of this lot will be invited to step into the world of a true Hollywood hero with a walk-on role in the series. Visit CTU, go “dark,” stare down Chloe - be a part of television history. On the day of your “shoot,” you and your guest will also be invited to visit the set for a behind-the-scenes look at this Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning drama.

Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Ann Colgin and her husband Joe Wender will host a celebratory dinner for you, prepared by 2008 NWWF Chef de Cuisine, Tom Colicchio, at their beautiful home in Bel Air. Jeannie and Gary Newman, Chairman of 20th Century Fox will also be on hand to answer all of your questions. The cuisine will be paired with exceptional wines from Colgin Cellars and Ann and Joe’s private collection. During your visit to Los Angeles, you will experience red carpet treatment with luxurious accommodations for two nights at The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Designed to resemble a gracious private residence, The Peninsula is the only hotel in Southern California to earn the distinction of an AAA Five-Diamond and Mobil Five-Star rating for 13 consecutive years.

The lights are on, the cameras are rolling - the clock is ticking!
