Your odyssey begins in Rome with a two-night stay at the Five-star Hotel EdenÔ, part of the Dorchester Collection. The high point of your visit to the Eternal City will be the time you spend with Lucia Silvestri, creative director of Bulgari, who travels the world assembling the most precious and exclusive gemstones for the house’s collection.

Your exposure to the Bulgari style will culminate with a visit to DOMVS, their iconic boutique at Via Condotti 10. DOMVS means “home” in Latin, and the gallery provides a personal and intimate glimpse into the house of Bulgari, highlighted by pieces from the Heritage Collection that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida.

From the glamour of Rome, you’ll travel to the Tuscan countryside for a two-night stay at Il Borro, the 2700-acre estate owned by the Ferragamo Family. An oasis of charm in the style of a medieval village, the property includes a 19th century villa, farm and spa, along with fine cuisine at Osteria del Borro—and an organic winery deeply rooted in the Tuscan tradition.

Your private tour and tasting at Il Borro will bring together the heritage of the vineyards, cellar, wine, art and architecture. Best known for their namesake blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, the winery also produces classic Sangiovese and sparkling wines made by the Champagne method.

The week will culminate in Milan, the capital of fashion, with a stay at the Bulgari Hotel. A renovated 18th century palazzo located on a secluded downtown street, the hotel’s private garden (an extension of the nearby Botanical Garden) transports guests to an oasis of peace and serenity that is a respite from the busy pace of city life.

Your full day tour of Milan will encompass some of the city’s top sights, beginning with the massive Cathedral of Santa Maria Nascente, which the Milanese simply call the Duomo. Begun in the 14th century and complete under Napoleon, the Duomo has the world’s largest stained-glass windows and an exterior decorated with 2,265 marble statues.

Airfare to Italy is not included. Private, roundtrip airport transfers and ground transportation between locations and to stated activities are included. Meals are only included as stated. Lunch in Tuscany and dinner in Milan include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and gratuities. All additional food, beverages and gratuities are at the winning bidders’ expense. The tour of Milan is walking or driving, based on the winners’ preference. Dates to be mutually agreed upon, based on availability and scheduled at least eight (8) weeks in advance. Travel to be completed within 2023.
