This is your chance to discover paradise! The beauty and grandeur of New Zealand encompasses ice-capped mountains, unspoiled lakes, pristine forest and rugged coastlines—not to mention some of the world’s best golf. The winning bidder’s party of four will have the opportunity to play the North Island’s most celebrated courses while enjoying world-class accommodations, sightseeing, food and wine.

On arrival at Auckland airport, a private helicopter will whisk you to Tara Iti Golf Club on the east coast of the North Island, consistently ranked in the Top Ten of Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses since its opening in 2015. While known for a friendly and unstuffy atmosphere, this course—designed by acclaimed architect Tom Doak— is one of the hardest tee times on the globe to arrange. You’ll spend two nights in an intimate and secluded Members Cottage.

From there, you’ll make the short trip to another world-class golf destination, Te Arai Links. The North Course, also designed by Tom Doak, begins and ends on the ocean and features dramatic and challenging inland holes. The South Course, designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, features both lengthy holes and finesse holes, following the landscape seamlessly before giving way to spectacular seaside fairways. You’ll reside for two nights in the beautifully appointed Suites, just a short walk from the South Clubhouse.

These two experiences are a prelude to your three-night stay at Cape Kidnappers, located at the southeastern tip of Hawke’s Bay on the North Island’s east coast. You’ll be lodged in a Hilltop Suite with magnificent views over the golf course to the Pacific. The course itself, yet another Tom Doak classic, is built on a ridge-and-valley landscape with cliff-edge fairways and has been hailed as one of the modern marvels in golf. While at Cape Kidnappers, you’ll try your hand at fly fishing and have a private tour with lunch in Hawke’s Bay.

It’s time to explore the South Island with a visit to Queenstown, an Otago resort built around an inlet in Lake Wakatipu. Your home base for four nights will be the historic Eichardt’s Private Hotel, a leader in luxury accommodation and the most awarded private hotel in the country. Eichardt’s dates back to the 1860s, when gold was discovered in the nearby Shotover River and a hotel was needed to house the prospectors coming to the area. You’ll be luxuriating in a suite overlooking Lake Wakapitu with majestic views of the surrounding mountains.

While in Queenstown you’ll have a private helicopter tour of Milford Sound, a fiord within the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. You’ll go jet boating at Glenorchy, a small settlement at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu, and have the opportunity to sharpen your fly fishing skills learned at Hawke’s Bay.

Before leaving Queenstown, you’ll experience a private tour and tasting at Amisfield Winery, one of the largest single estate vineyards in Central Otago. Set against the sweeping backdrop of the Pisa Mountain range, Amisfield specializes in Pinot Noir and aromatic whites. After completing the transition to organic viticulture, they were named the 2020 Riedel “Organic Vineyard of the Year.”

Emerge from the countryside into the city with a two-night stay in Harbour View rooms at Auckland’s luxurious Park Hyatt, featuring dynamic culinary spaces and accommodations that incorporate native Maori accents. While there, your adventure will culminate with a short ferry ride from Auckland to Waiheke Island, home to more than one dozen exclusive boutique wineries, and you’ll be hosted for a private wine tour and lunch.
