Oh, to be an honored guest of Bulgari! Pampered and indulged. You may think of it as the “royal treatment,” but after this Italian experience, you will call it the “Bulgari treatment.” Be the lucky couple enjoying every step as Bulgari rolls out the red carpet from Milan to Rome to Tuscany.
Your Five-star Milan hotel will set the standard for your entire magnificent trip. On a private street in downtown Milan, between Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, La Scala and the Accademia di Brera, in a tastefully renovated 18th-century Milanese palazzo, is the Bulgari Hotel Milano. Situated in the cultural and commercial heart of the city, its neighbors include fashion boutiques, jewelers, showrooms and design and furniture ateliers. But, behind its elegant exterior, the hotel is home to a 43,000-square-foot private garden that is a natural extension of the nearby botanical garden and will immerse you in an oasis of peace and serenity, a welcome respite from the city life surrounding it.
With your private guide, you’ll spend the ideal day in Milan. As you well know, the fashion and financial capital is home to designers like Prada, Armani and Versace, and sights like the Duomo Cathedral, La Scala and Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Depending on your interests, your private guide will capture the essence of Milan for you in the perfect daylong experience, followed by dinner in one of the most coveted restaurants in all of Milan.
Next, you’ll travel by private car to Rome for a two-night stay at a luxury, Five-star hotel. While in the Eternal City, you will be treated to a private gems table experience with Bulgari jewelry creative director, Lucia Silvestri. Having worked for Bulgari for 35 years, Lucia takes inspiration from everywhere. She is especially inspired by the colors of Rome—from the sky to the buildings to the architecture. In her own words, “Rome is an open museum. I can go around a corner, and maybe I’ve done it a million times before, but I’ll see something new and I’ll think—that could be a motif for a pair of earrings.” She will share her stories of the stunning stones that are her passion, the people who have worn them—and the reputation for superior craftsmanship and creativity that defines Bulgari.
Your grand finale in Rome will be a visit to Via Condotti Heritage Exhibition, DOMVS, where the story of the brand and its stylistic evolution will be told by splendid, unique pieces.
Tuscany and a new Bulgari venture is your next destination. Giovanni Bulgari’s winery, Podernuovo a Palazzone is located among the Tuscan hills near San Casciano Dei Bagni on the border between Lazio and Umbria. This is the southernmost tip of Tuscany, where hills, streams and wind create an outstanding natural climate to produce unique wines. Feeling a strong connection to the land since childhood and a passion for the countryside and farming, Giovanni started this project when he discovered abandoned vineyards on the property his father purchased several years ago.
You will learn the Bulgari philosophy of winemaking during your private tour of the Podernuovo cellar with its beautiful gardens and terraces. Siena-colored and striking in appearance, it is perfectly integrated into the landscape. In 2017, thanks to the beauty and respect with which the cellar blends into and enhances the landscape and environment, it received the coveted and meaningful “Premio Architettura Toscana.” From the tasting room, you will be dazzled by dramatic views of the entire glorious valley.
You’ll want to add this precious gem of a journey from Bvlgari to your collection.
