For Jeff Gargiulo, chairman of the very first Naples Winter Wine Festival in 2001, this 20th Anniversary celebrates dreaming big in more ways than one—Valerie & Jeff are also celebrating 20 vintages of Gargiulo Vineyards’ incomparable Cabernets! Coming straight from their hearts, this auction lot is a celebration of Valerie & Jeff’s passion for food, wine, music and friends.
Your tri-city progressive party begins with a fabulous night in Naples in the Club Room at Campiello restaurant—which features elevated Italian cuisine, a cocktail salon and live jazz-oriented music. Hosted by the D’Amicos and Gargiulos, two winning couples and their guests will be treated to a tasting of selected vintages of Gargiulo Cabernet Sauvignon from their prime Oakville estates. Richard’s menu will celebrate the Italian heritage of both he and Jeff, and pairings will include wine from both men’s Italian cellars along with some rare Gargiulo wines. Head’s up! If you love great white truffles, schedule this dinner for the fall! There will, of course, be a special musical guest.
Next, you’ll experience Nashville from the inside out, enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner with Valerie & Jeff’s songwriter and performer friends. You’ll hit all the best spots like The Bluebird, the Grand Ole OPRY, incredible Time Jumpers at 3rd and Lindsley, a walk down the strip for some honky tonk—and it doesn’t get any better than when Jeff and friends bring out their guitars for jam sessions as you’re enjoying some of Nashville’s best restaurants.
If, deep down, you always thought you’ve got a song in you, you’ll get your shot when you visit ASCAP, the organization of songwriters. With Jeff and friends, you’ll get a private tour of a famous recording studio and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and you’ll visit the famous Gruen’s guitar shop.
Then, the first week in October, there’s no place you’d rather be than Gargiulo Vineyards in Napa Valley for the days leading up to Valerie & Jeff’s Harvest Party, “Oakville Sessions.” From Thursday through Sunday, life is a blissful mix of Nashville and Napa—food, wine and music. Your days and nights are a dream-come-true…
Nashville’s Bluebird Café brings the show to Gargiulo Vineyards Thursday night to raise money for musical education for children—always a limited and sold out event. Friday is a free day to explore the wine country during crush, and the Gargiulo team will design a custom itinerary for you, including lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni with hosts Valerie & Jeff. Friday night, you’ll join the team as they welcome the musicians at a private dinner. You’ll watch in wonder Saturday night as the Gargiulo’s entertain the musicians at their home. After dinner, everyone moves into the living room around the piano for a wildly spontaneous “in the moment” rehearsal.
Finally, it’s Sunday—time for the by-invitation-only Oakville Sessions Harvest Party and Gargiulo Vineyards OVX Cab release. From noon till 5pm, a different performer will take the stage every 20 to 30 minutes as everyone enjoys non-stop food, wine, and music! After the party breaks up, you’ll hang out with the other folks who are hanging out and the fun will continue.
In addition to a Double Magnum of each of the three fabulous Cabs from Gargiulo Vineyards, each winning couple will receive three Magnums of Gargiulo Vineyards 20th Anniversary Commemorative Cabernet wine upon release.
Bid high and let’s get this party started!
