An amazing Scottish and Big Apple adventure from Sunday, September 13–Friday, September 18, 2020 for four (4) lucky couples
This amazing lot gives four lucky couples everything their inner child really wants! The four men jet off to Scotland for an incredible four-day golf pilgrimage while the four women immerse in the fashion, jewelry and fine-dining world of New York City! For starters, check your calendars, because this trans-Atlantic experience is confirmed for Sunday, September 13, through hotel checkout in New York Friday on September 18, 2020. (Plenty of time to make conflicts go away!)
For the Men:
The birthplace of golf, Scotland beckons golfers from the world over for its challenging, seaside courses, beautiful Highlands scenery and historic inns. Every true golfer must play there at least once in his life, and this lot delivers the dream for four lucky gentlemen. From Westchester County, New York, the gents settle into an elegant, long-range, large-cabin Gulfstream G400 jet for the nonstop flight to Inverness, Scotland. They are welcomed with an airport meet and greet, and a V-Class Mercedes mini-coach which will shuttle them to The Links House in Dornoch. For accommodations, the fellows spend four wonderful nights at The Links House, a boutique inn appointed with fine antiques, artwork and luxuriant fabrics.
On their first morning, the men start with a full Scottish breakfast, and then tee off at 11:20am at the celebrated Royal Dornoch Championship course, where there’s evidence of golf being played since 1616. Caddies will accompany the players along the scenic, waterfront course (6,722 yards, par 70), which Golf Digest ranks as No. 1 in Scotland and No. 5 in the world. Lunch follows the round, with dinner at stately The Links House that evening.
The next morning, it’s breakfast followed by a private transfer to The Carnegie Links at Skibo Castle for another scenic round with caddies at 9:30am. Offering 6,833 yards of golfing genius, the Carnegie is a par 71 course, and like the Royal Dornoch, it follows the coast of the Dornoch Firth, an inlet thriving with birds and marine life. After lunch, there’s an option to play an additional 3, 6, or 9 holes before a whisky distillery tour and tasting at Glenmorangie. In the evening, the men dine at Luigi’s in the heart of Dornoch, a small historic town that boasts stunning scenery and a sunny climate.
The next day, the group has the option of returning to the Royal Dornoch course for another round with caddies scheduled for 11:40am, or moving to the Brora Golf Club (6,211 yards, par 70). Lunch follows the round, and the lads have the afternoon at their leisure. Dinner that evening is at The Oystercatcher, which, as its name suggests, features fresh-caught seafood, notably lobster and sole.
The final day starts with a private transfer that takes the foursome to Inverness for a round with caddies for an 8:30am tee time at the Castle Stuart Golf Links (7,009 yards, par 72), a visual feast overlooking the water. Then, it’s one last lunch in the land where golf began before a private transfer to the Inverness Airport for the return private jet flight to Westchester County. The men reunite that evening with the ladies in New York City.
For the Ladies:
Shopping mecca. Capital of fine dining. Epicenter of the arts. Style trendsetter. New York City wears many crowns and spreads an irresistible feast for all to enjoy, as four ladies will experience during their storybook immersion into the Big Apple.
The lucky ladies receive five nights of sumptuous accommodations in One-Bedroom Suites at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, a timeless classic in the Upper East Side. One of the most luxurious hotels in the city, The Carlyle attracts the biggest A-Listers on the planet with its gilded doors, impeccable Art Deco design, discreet service, sweeping views of Central Park and proximity to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and other world-class cultural gems.
On day one, each guest will receive a handbag from designer Peach Carr, who leads the ladies on a tour of Mood Fabrics, purveyor of a wide array of designer fabrics, famous for appearing on “Project Runway.” Peach then joins the ladies (possibly joined by another celebrity fashion designer!) for a special tasting menu at Temple Court at The Beekman with wine pairings. It starts with a delightful meet and greet with Chef Tom Colicchio. Over dinner, Peach shares her personal, insider stories about fashion and “Project Runway,” as well as her experience in the designer business.
The next day, the ladies visit the famed atelier FENDI, where they receive royal treatment. The ladies will then go on a behind-the-scenes tour of Christie’s and enjoy afternoon tea in one of the viewing rooms at Christie’s. A specialist shows them around the jewelry and watch departments to see featured pieces for upcoming sales. That night, the guests take in the hit Broadway musical “Moulin Rouge” and later gather around the Chef’s Table at Bill Telepan’s Oceana Restaurant for a special, five-course tasting menu with wine pairings.
The ladies get an up-close look into two of New York’s most noted TV shows the following day. Starting with the “TODAY Show,” the ladies will enjoy VIP access to the set, with a behind-the-scenes visit, meet and greets and brunch with one of the beloved co-hosts! After brunch, the ladies will have some free time to peruse noted galleries or museums before becoming the VIP guests of Jimmy Fallon for a live taping of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” That evening will feature a special, three-course dinner at Charlie Palmer’s Aureole restaurant with sparkling wine upon arrival and a tour of the famed Aureole Wine Mezzanine during after-dinner drinks.
Diamonds Are Truly A Girl’s Best Friend! On Wednesday, the ladies are able to apply a generous $30,000.00 store credit for a shopping trip provided by Kwiat and Marissa Collections, the highly curated boutique for the world’s most discerning shoppers of luxury clothing, accessories and fine jewelry. Kwiat and Marissa Collections are pleased to present the ladies with a dazzling, full-day experience that features an exclusive, private tour of the ASHOKA® diamond atelier, including lunch, with members of the Kwiat sales and marketing team. The ladies will have their very own personalized styling and shopping consultation at the Kwiat/Fred Leighton salon on Madison Avenue, where they will learn everything they need to know about diamonds. (Spoiler alert: This is why the guys are 3,200 miles away playing golf.) That evening, the woman will have dinner at one of New York’s finest restaurants and see a Broadway show of their choice.
The women enjoy New York at their leisure the following day, visiting landmark sites or hidden gems, enjoying spa pampering, a movie or theater matinée, or otherwise taking it easy before the men return. In the evening, the four couples reunite for a special dinner in the private dining room of The Carlyle Hotel’s fabulous restaurant and one last night in New York City — with lots of stories to tell from their amazing getaways.
Raise that paddle as high as Lady Liberty’s torch — and make it glow with an epic bid — to make this one-of-a-kind, his-and-hers experience all yours!
