This is a love story. For the love of Provence where they met and married—for the love of fine wine and cuisine française—for the love of children and giving back—proprietors Lysielle & Jacques Cariot invite you to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF) at Naples’ beloved Bleu Provence.
That love and soul has been brought across the Atlantic in the minds and hearts of the Cariots, who have painstakingly recreated a corner of their homeland in Naples’ historic Crayton Cove. Since its opening, this Wine Spectator “Grand Award” winner has become a landmark of the community; an oasis of food, wine and hospitality.
On a special Sunday evening, 20 people will sit down to a feast inspired by l’amour featuring the Médoc region of Bordeaux with the 2000 vintage Premier Grand Cru Classés from Magnums—all directly from Bordeaux.
You will toast life and the good works of NCEF with the crème de la crème: Château Haut-Brion (Pessac-Léognan), Château Lafite Rothschild (Pauillac), Château Latour (Pauillac), Château Margaux (Margaux) and Château Mouton-Rothschild (Pauillac). Among the world’s most esteemed wines, the First Growths of Bordeaux are now, more than ever, in a class by themselves. All share a long, colorful and sometimes connected history dating back hundreds of years. The official 1855 Classification took place at L’Exposition Universelle de Paris, and the wines included in the Classification were all from Médoc, except the already legendary Château Haut-Brion.
In the year 2000, while the grapes that became the magnificent wines you will drink on this night were being harvested, the founders of NCEF and the Naples Winter Wine Festival were creating a transformative organization, and a new restaurant, Bleu Provence was establishing itself in Old Naples.
Bringing the south of France to the south of Florida, Bleu Provence started off as a small 16-table restaurant open only for dinner, and over the years has gone through several major renovations, vastly increasing its original size. The Cariot’s venture was a natural pairing of Jacques’ passion for fine wines and Lysielle’s love of French cuisine and the culinary arts. Today, Bleu Provence houses a fabulous wine collection of over 4,300 varietals and 45,000 bottles in The Cave and features over 3,000 varietals in its retail wine store, Bleu Cellar.
You can’t put a price on love, but you can put a price on this wine-lover’s auction lot!
Dinner to be held on a mutually agreeable Sunday evening in November 2020. Date to be determined at least three (3) months in advance.
