With more than 500 wineries to choose from in 150 miles, Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a great destination for wine lovers. Ranking as one of the premier Pinot Noir-producing areas in the world, the valley is home to two thirds of Oregon’s wineries and vineyards.

With two nights at the small luxury hotel The Atticus in McMinnville, this package allows two couples to see why famed Burgundian winemaker Jean-Nicolas Méo and his longtime friend, visionary music entrepreneur Jay Boberg, chose the Willamette Valley to open their winery.

The experience begins with a multi-course, private dinner featuring local, seasonal ingredients to be paired with Nicolas-Jay and Domaine Méo-Camuzet wines from their personal cellar at Red Hills Kitchen at The Atticus. Guests will spend the following day travelling the Willamette Valley on a private coach tour highlighted by three private, seated tasting experiences with Nicolas-Jay hospitality director Jonathan Ziemba.

Lunch will be served at Nicolas-Jay’s own Bishop Creek Vineyard, a hillside of old-vine, own-rooted Pinot Noir. Jay will tour guests through these vines and explain what drew him to this corner of the Yamhill-Carlton American Viticultural Area. From Bishop Creek, guests will join associate winemaker Tracy Kendall in the Nicolas-Jay cellar to taste and blend the recent vintage in barrel. Guests will conclude the day at Nicolas-Jay’s century-old house in the heart of Dundee, where they will delve into library wines and taste the progression of its Pinot Noir through the years.

The lot also includes 24 bottles of Nicolas-Jay Estate Bishop Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, signed by Jean-Nicolas Méo and Jay Boberg from the illustrious 2014, 2015 and 2016 vintages. And reflecting Jay’s career in the recording industry, guests will also receive a collection of several rare, first-edition pressings of classic IRS Records releases directly from Jay’s personal archives from REM, the Go-Go’s and more.

So crank up the volume on your bid to win this Bishop Creek prize!
