Winemaker Paul Hobbs is extending a special invitation to two fortunate couples—a chance to take a highly personalized and unforgettable journey that combines travel, local cuisine and history through a prism of wines from the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast and the Napa Valley – all hosted at the Paul Hobbs Winery in Sebastopol, California.
After a First-Class flight into San Francisco, with your own chauffer awaiting you, you’ll arrive at the Paul Hobbs Winery guest house, well-appointed within the Katherine Lindsay Estate in the heart of the Russian River Valley. This is where the pioneering Hobbs established his winery in 1991, a place that exemplifies his vision and dedication to sustainability, as well as his ongoing quest to refine the art of winemaking with minimal intervention, yet meticulous care.
A delicious, multi-course bespoke dinner, hosted by the Hobbs Family awaits you. Featuring rare wines from the Paul Hobbs Winery cellar and delectable dishes sourced locally by the Hobbs’s estate chef, this evening will set the tone for your two-night stay on the property, where you’ll discover Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs and Cabernet Sauvignons that are a pure expression of nature and place.
On your second day, you’ll take a tour of the Single Vineyard Chardonnay vineyards in the Russian River Valley, including the Ellen Lane Estate and Ross Station Estate. Settling in for lunch, take time to enjoy a visit with none other than Paul himself, who will join you on the patio to talk about the history of his eponymous winery and his 40-year quest to refine Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Afterwards, the winemaking team will lead an education discussion at the Paul Hobbs Winery, sharing the importance that terroir makes on Chardonnay.
On your final day, step aboard a private helicopter to tour the gorgeous and secluded Goldrock Estate in Annapolis, one of the most sought-after sites on the Sonoma Coast. Finally, reward yourself with a picnic lunch. To help you share your experience with your friends, Paul has included a full allocation of spring and fall single vineyard releases for 2019, which will be sent to you upon their release.
This is the world of Paul Hobbs. And for just a little paddle wave, it could be yours, too.
Roundtrip, airport transfers and all ground transportation in Sonoma for the activities listed above are included. To be scheduled for mutually agreeable dates during June 2019 or June 2020. Each allocation of the Paul Hobbs 2018 Single Vineyard spring and fall release wines will include two (2) bottles of each wine being released — five (5) single vineyard wines in the spring and five (5) single vineyard wines in the fall.
