Red invites you to come along for a spectacular week celebrating the very best in life: Paris, Versailles, fine jewelry, history—and of course, the singular experience of Piper-Heidsieck’s Rare Champagne, the queen of bubbles.
Your party will begin with three nights at the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal in Paris, a haven beside the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. This luxury boutique hotel offers serene rooms, an intimate bar and restaurant, a terrace on the quiet Place de Valois and a spa dedicated to beauty and wellness. You’ll visit the storied jewelry house of Mellerio, founded in 1613 and still family-run, as well as the nearby Palace of Versailles.
Versailles holds special meaning for Champagne and Piper-Heidsieck: founder Florens-Louis Heidsieck once presented a bottle to Queen Marie Antoinette, who rewarded him with more than a dozen royal warrants. You’ll enjoy a privileged tour of the Palace, including the Queen’s private apartment, followed by lunch at Alain Ducasse’s Michelin-starred restaurant, with exquisite cuisine set against décor evoking the splendor of the Sun King.
From the glitter of Paris and the glamour of Versailles, you’ll travel to Reims for a unique immersion in Rare Champagne. Declared only fourteen times since 1971, each vintage is a rare combination of an extraordinary year, the cellar master’s expertise and perfect aging conditions. Chef de Cave Émilien Boutillat or a member of his team will host a VIP tour of the vineyards and cellar, culminating in a tasting that showcases this meticulous craftsmanship. While in Reims, you’ll also visit the Gothic cathedral, the traditional coronation site of French kings.
You’ll stay in quarters fit for a five-star general and a future president: the Résidence Eisenhower, where the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces spent several months finalizing the end of World War II. Originally known as the Mignon Hotel, the building was meticulously restored to preserve its importance, with each unique room a reminder of history. Your party will relax in Suites and enjoy an exceptional dinner paired with vintages of Rare Champagne ranging from 1985 to 2015. In addition, each couple will take home bottles of the 2008 Rare and 2014 Rare Rosé, in Magnum format.
Red will be sitting on your shoulder and photographing it all as you relive the memories of kings, queens, generals and presidents…even as you pass along the precious gift of an improved life to the children in Collier County.
This trip is for two (2) couples. Visit to be scheduled for mutually agreeable dates and based on availability. Blackout dates include the month of September. One (1) roundtrip group airport transfer in France is included. Guests arriving or departing separately will be responsible for the costs of any additional transfers. The tasting with Émilien Boutillat is based on his availability. If Émilien is unavailable, the tasting will be hosted by a member of his team. Meals are only included as stated above and served with select wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Gratuities are included for the stated meals. Any additional gratuities are at the expense of the winning bidders.
