The Naples Children & Education Foundation, founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Collier County and Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, is proud to announce the soft launch of the Collier CARES app, a specially designed application to serve the community’s most vulnerable populations. The goal of Collier CARES is to connect families immediately with relevant resources and services to meet their needs. Providers will list their services, including the location, hours of operation and key elements of their service, on Collier CARES. Families in need will then be able to search for a variety of services based on their needs. The soft launch phase of development invites organizations to get onboard and register their services on the app. For additional information on how to onboard your organization onto Collier CARES, click the link in our bio or email admin@colliercares.org.

We are proud to announce that the Naples Children

We are proud to announce that the Naples Children & Education Foundation has invested in a community-wide effort to start an Early Childhood Court (ECC) here in Collier County. This problem-solving court program works with families in the child-welfare system with children under age 3. This is a voluntary, family-focused and intensive program designed to promote personal responsibility, parent-child relationships and co-parenting practices. Early Childhood Court empowers and educates parents to create stable, nurturing environments for their children. Data show that children who go through ECC reached overall permanency with a stable family on average 4.75 months sooner than children who go through traditional dependency court. ECC reunification with parents was more likely quicker and faster permanency with a relative or non-relative than non-ECC children. Today, there are a total of 27 Early Childhood Courts in Florida.
