A Permanent Home

In April 2020 the Naples Children & Education Foundation moved into its very own building after years of operating in rented and donated space and relocating every three to four years. The new building represents NCEF’s continuous commitment to the children and makes NCEF a permanent stakeholder in Collier County.

NCEF’s Board of Directors
and Trustees approved the NEW BUILDING
to address several needs

  • The need for a dedicated administrative space to continue as the largest single source of funding for essential services for at-risk and underprivileged children in Collier County.
  • The need to provide an efficient and professional state-of-the-art professional space to host meetings for over 160 Trustees, 16 professional staff members and 300 volunteers.
  • The need to provide a gathering space to host beneficiary partners and other community groups for capacity building, training and best practice sharing.
  • The need for a kitchen space to support functions in the meeting space, provide co-op training and more.
  • The need to recognize and honor Trustees, donors, chefs, vintners and volunteers as well as share impact stories of beneficiary partners with a hybrid permanent and digital donor wall.

Make an Indelible Mark on the Future

Trustees Barbie & Paul Hills graciously agreed to chair the “Onward and Upward” Capital Campaign with a goal of securing $7 million to purchase land, hire an architect, construct and furnish the new building. Nearly $5 million had been raised prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ian, which shifted priorities and challenged NCEF to reach the final goal. The need to complete the campaign and to raise the remaining $2 million remains a priority, and NCEF invites anyone interested in supporting this special project to please consider a one-time gift or pledge. Capital Campaign donors are recognized on a plaque in the building lobby and a few remaining dedicated naming opportunities throughout the building are available to honor or memorialize individuals, families or businesses.
