Elise & Chris Klein

Elise and Chris Klein are originally from Chicago, Illinois and have been part-time residents of Naples since 2020. They have been attending the Naples Winter Wine Festival since moving to Florida.

Chris retired as Chairman/CEO of Fortune Brands at the end of 2020. Upon his retirement, Fortune Brands was a home products company with 27,000 employees which made the leading plumbing products branded Moen, Master Lock padlocks, kitchen and bath cabinets, entry doors and decking. He currently serves on three public company boards: W.W. Grainger, Inc., THOR Industries and Vontier Corporation.

Elise had a twelve-year career in public relations before focusing on raising their two children, Gabrielle and Jack. She also led the North Shore chapter of the woman’s auxiliary for the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago for 25 years. The Infant Welfare Society is a nonprofit healthcare clinic serving low-income families on the northwest side of Chicago.

Chris currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ravinia Festival, the nonprofit organization based in suburban Chicago that runs the performing arts venue that is the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and other classical and popular music. The organization also provides music education for 20,000 grade school students each year throughout the Chicago area.

Chris also serves on the foundation board for the University of Iowa endowment and locally serves on the Saint Ann School Foundation board.

Elise and Chris both graduated from the University of Iowa (where they met), and Chris received his MBA from Northwestern University.

They enjoy time with their family, live music, boating, travel, college football and playing the occasional round of golf.
