#CelebrityChefs Sundays! The list of celebrity chefs joining us during the #NWWF23 includes Florida native Chef @baxterd executive chef of @the_catbirdseat in Nashville, TN. In this role, Baxter showcases his culinary point of view gleaned from working with some of the best chefs in the country. Chef Brian Baxter’s fifth iteration of the award-winning restaurant is a celebration of ingredients with an emphasis on those sourced at the peak of the season. Brian graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Outside of the kitchen, Baxter became interested in watercolor art, and he now studies the craft with mentor Todd Saal to further hone his passion. Merging his two talents, Baxter’s vision for the restaurant incorporates both his culinary and artistic passions.

NWWF23 #Vintner feature of the week! The 23rd Naples Winter Wine Festival’s incredible lineup of world-renowned vintners includes @jkatzwine of @aperturecellars in Healdsburg, California. Early adventures to legendary vineyards and wineries around the world with his father, photographer Andy Katz, gave Colorado-native Jesse Katz a profound respect for the creative art of winemaking. Jesse creates distinct, nuanced wines for his brands Aperture Cellars and Devil Proof Vineyards; while serving as a consulting winemaker for some of the world’s most prestigious wines. Jesse’s diverse experience spanning 21 harvests at wineries, along with his desire to travel, fed his aspiration to learn from the best in the industry including Pétrus in Bordeaux, as well as time on the winemaking teams at Screaming Eagle Winery and Robert Foley Winery in Napa Valley, and Viña Cobos and Bodega Noemia in Argentina.

Regular primary care visits are critical to good health for children. Visits typically start a few days after a child is born until they are 18.
At four years old, Penelope* came to Healthcare Network (HCN) - @healthcareswfl for her first ever well visit. Her family, who had immigrated the previous year, explained they could not afford medical care in their former country or the United States. When they learned that HCN offered a sliding fee scale, a program that reduces the cost of care based on household size and income, they were relieved to know they could finally access critical health services. During her well child exam, her provider soon observed that Penelope showed symptoms of anemia and had multiple dental caries (cavities). She was immediately prescribed a hemoglobin test, which confirmed she had anemia, and had a dental appointment secured for her. Her #ShiningStar story is a testament to the importance of children having access to primary care visits that can identify and treat minor health conditions that would otherwise develop into more complex health issues.

The Naples Children & Education Foundation, founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, is proud to welcome Aaron Chapman as our new Auction Relations Coordinator. In this role, Chapman will assist the Auction Manager and Director, Events & Communications in conducting the annual NWWF. This includes assisting as guest liaison for chefs, vintners, sommeliers, donors, corporate partners, sponsors and patrons, while maintaining wine inventory. He also will be responsible for coordinating the wine service volunteers and transportation. Aaron was involved with community outreaches in his hometown in Kentucky, he recently graduated Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Welcome!

Together with her brother Franco Allegrini, Marilisa carries on the legacy of their father Giovanni, a visionary viticulturist in Valpolicella credited with revolutionizing Amarone and appassimento winemaking. Steeped in centuries of winegrowing expertise, the family is recognized for crafting a benchmark Amarone, pioneering a focus on single-vineyard sites, and consistently marrying tradition with innovation. @allegrini.winery
Today, Marilisa is president of Amarone Families (Famiglie dell’Amarone d’Arte) and has been recognized as one of the top ambassadors for Valpolicella worldwide.
