Ann Bain, is a native of Holyoke, Mass. She graduated with a BA in international relations and economics from Colgate University in 1985. Upon graduation, she moved to Boston to join Shawmut Bank’s Corporate Lending Training Program. After seven years, Ann left Shawmut as a vice president to go to State Street Bank, in Boston. In 1996, Ann left banking to pursue her interest in the golf industry. She spent two years as general manager and clothing buyer for Boston-based Boston Links and one year as an analyst for Bain, Willard Companies. Ann retired in 1998 to focus on family and not-for-profit endeavors. She has previously served on the advisory board for The Posse Foundation and Suskind Young at Arts in Boston.
